As a Junior Environmental Expert, Nghia supports the EHS team in monitoring and evaluating waste water streams in chemical production. His focus is on ensuring environmental compliance in accordance with legal requirements, such as the Waste Water Ordinance, as well as internal guidelines. The aim of his work is to contribute to the implementation of the company's environmental objectives and to professionally assess the discharge capacity of waste water.
His tasks include the independent analysis and evaluation of waste water samples, support in the planning and evaluation of a company-wide measurement programme and participation in PIE (Pharmaceuticals in the Environment) assessments. In addition, he creates and maintains environmentally relevant documentation and participates in communication with authorities – particularly in the preparation of technical feedback and reports. As part of his work, he initiates and coordinates additional analyses, checks the plausibility of analysis results and regularly participates in safety meetings in the field of organic synthesis.
The interfaces of his work are broad: He is in close contact with chemical production, the sewage treatment plant, production planning and the analytical laboratory. With his in-depth knowledge of environmental law, waste water analysis and organic chemistry, Nghia makes a significant contribution to the sustainable optimisation of waste water treatment and compliance with all relevant environmental standards within the company.
